Bee Organized Lake Norman – Don’t Just Manage Your Summer…Enjoy It!

As a busy mom, Krystal Bajkor – owner of Bee Organized Lake Norman – knows firsthand what it’s like to “power purge” one area of your home at a time!

“My children are six and eight years old now, but when they were small, I couldn’t keep up with the clutter and constant need to tidy,” shares Krystal. “Every time I passed a pile, I got a mental reminder that ‘I have to go through that, or that needs to be put away.’ Finally, enough was enough, and I dove into research – I read organizing books while up in the middle of the night with a baby, or listened to podcasts about minimalism while driving.” (She also promises she’s still a fun person!)

“Through that learning process, I realized how much mental and emotional weight clutter carries, and how powerful it is to have a home that supports your life. I want to help others experience that same simplicity, so they can spend less time managing their homes and more time focusing on what matters. Bee Organized aligns closely with that mission and, as a locally owned, independently operated business backed by a strong national brand, our proven system comes with a genuine commitment to helping people live better.“

Bringing Bee Organized to Lake Norman residents starts with a simple phone call to learn each client’s needs. A complimentary in-home consultation follows, where the family’s space is assessed and a customized plan becomes a working outline.

“Clients never need to tidy up in advance – we lead every project with compassion, confidentiality and a judgment-free mindset,” Krystal adds.

If you’re heading into a hectic few months with kids and teens of all ages in tow, remember Bee Organized’s Top Five Tips for Staying Organized This Summer:

  1. Establish a Dedicated “Summer Drop Zone”: Create a designated area for everyday essentials like backpacks, pool bags, shoes and towels, so everything has a home. Install a row of hooks in the garage or entryway for bags and towels, add a shoe bin or tray underneath, and a large plastic bin by the pool where kids toss wet towels.
  2. Simplify Spaces Early On: Start the season by decluttering closets and shared areas, especially with college kids returning home. Use bins labeled “keep for summer,” “donate” or “store” to keep it all contained. If space is limited, college students can claim a few drawers or a section of a closet.
  3. Keep a Ready-to-Go Summer Bag in Your Car: Be prepared for spontaneity by keeping a stocked “go-bag” ready. Include swimsuits, towels, change of clothes, sunscreen, bug spray and slip-on shoes. Use a waterproof tote, and do a quick reset after each use so it’s always ready for next time.
  4. Assign Ownership and Involve the Entire Family: Give each child responsibility for their own zone. For younger kids, use picture labels on bins for sunscreen, goggles and pool toys, with everything at their height. For older kids, assign simple expectations like resetting the “drop zone” each evening or managing their own laundry basket.
  5. Keep Systems Simple and Sustainable: Find easy-to-maintain solutions that fit your family’s real-life routines – bins without complicated lids, hooks instead of hangers and clearly labeled baskets.

“Above all, give yourself grace,” shares Krystal. “Organization should support your life, not add stress. To help routines stick, keep them simple and fun. Consider turning a quick daily “reset” into a five-minute game before dinner or bedtime. When systems are simple, kids are far more likely to stay consistent.”

Year round, Krystal says cabinets, pantries and garages are consistently at the top of most families’ to-do lists. For many homeowners, the ultimate goal is actually parking cars in their garage!

“It’s one of the most impactful changes we see, going from garages packed wall-to-wall with boxes to newly functional spaces where clients can finally park their cars again,” she adds. “Beyond the physical results, there’s a powerful emotional shift. Clients often feel an immediate sense of calm. Seeing that kind of change – both in the space and in how clients feel afterwards – is what makes this work so deeply gratifying.”

Bee Organized offers their services on a per-project basis. Many clients start with one or two areas, and once they experience the positive impact, continue into other spaces of their home or business. While each system is customized, the team walks through easy tips for maintaining this new-found order!

“Sometimes life does need a reset, and for ongoing support, we offer our ‘Betty Bee’ Maintenance Program, where we return on a monthly or quarterly basis to reset as needed,” Krystal explains.

Bee Organized also provides concierge-style services with support available for everything from home projects, seasonal needs and event styling, to guidance during moves and life transitions.
