You know what they always say: “April showers bring May flowers!” Here in Mooresville, not only should you expect to see gorgeous gardens but, also, a collection of wonderful art in the SpringFest exhibit at Mooresville Arts! Starting April 1st, our 47th annual SpringFest exhibition will include a variety of local artists working in all different kinds of media, like painting, pottery, mixed media and more!
This year’s judge is Emily T. Andress, the owner of Awaken Gallery in Mount Holly, NC. With her 46 years of experience as a professional artist, we are so thankful that Emily has dedicated her time and expertise to selecting the winners for the show. The winners will be announced during the SpringFest reception on Friday, April 4th, from 6:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Stop by to meet the artists, and be one of the first to know who won!

While you are starting on your spring cleaning this season, you might realize that it would be nice to brighten up the walls of your home with some new art. Many of the pieces in this exhibit will be for sale, so don’t miss the opportunity to bring some of the SpringFest collection home for yourself. Not only will the art liven up your space, but you will also be supporting your local art community with your purchase. SpringFest will be showing in the gallery April 1st through May 15th.
The fun doesn’t stop there this spring. While the SpringFest exhibit is at the Depot, be sure to mark your calendars for Uncorked & Artsy on May 2nd from 6:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. You will not want to miss this amazing art walk in downtown Mooresville. Not only will local artists be selling their works, but there will also be live music and special downtown store offers! While you can browse the art walk and watch the musical performances for free, you can also purchase a $30 ticket for 16 beer and wine tastings and a souvenir Downtown Uncorked and Artsy glass. A portion of these ticket sales will benefit Mooresville Arts, and our mission of keeping the arts alive in our community!
