More than just a team, the Carolina Regulators have built a culture that empowers young athletes to thrive both on and off the field. Each summer, the Carolina Regulators sends a team of 12-year-olds and under athletes to experience something truly unforgettable— a week at Cooperstown Dreams Park in Cooperstown, NY. This event, often regarded as a ‘once-in-a-lifetime’ experience, brings together youth baseball teams from across the country to compete in a week-long series of games at a facility near the National Baseball Hall of Fame in the beloved Cooperstown, NY.
A Mission Beyond the Game
Founded with the goal of developing not just great players, but great people, the Carolina Regulators focus on teaching life lessons through baseball. Their coaches emphasize character, resilience, and teamwork, ensuring that players leave with more than just wins- they leave with skills that will serve them in all walks of life. The Cooperstown Dreams Park tournament impacts the players’ lives, celebrating the heart and history of America’s favorite pastime, while the players meet other kids, all who stay together in on-site barracks, building bonds, trading pins, and creating memories that last a lifetime.
This year’s Carolina Regulators team is coached by Coach Drew Wofford, who is in his third year with the Regulators Club. In addition to his role with the Regulators, Coach Wofford also serves as an assistant coach for the middle school baseball team at Mountain Island Charter School, bringing a wealth of experience and passion to this special group of young athletes.
“As we work with our athletes, our ultimate goal is to help them play at the next level, whether that is middle or high school, possibly college or beyond. I tell the players to control what you can control and the results will show for it. I ask our team to play every game as hard as they can and that is all I can ask for as a coach,” said Coach Wofford.
