Happy 100th Birthday to Jeanne Harrell, a remarkable woman who continues to inspire us all!
Born on April 8, 1924, in Elon College, NC, Jeanne and her late husband, Dan Harrell, married in 1949. They moved to Concord in 1956 and soon discovered the therapeutic and captivating allure of the newly formed Lake Norman.
Jeanne is grateful for the decades of priceless memories and joy shared with a multitude of family and friends at her home away from home on Kiser Island since 1963. A friend once wrote in a thank you note, “A little bit of Heaven after a delightful weekend visit with Jeanne and Dan at their home by the lake and its abundance of nourishing waters, fruits, flowers, laughter, southern hospitality, and love…”
Jeanne is the proud mother of four amazing sons, the cherished grandmother of 11 wonderful grandchildren, and the beloved great-grandmother of 16 delightful great-grandchildren. Her century-long journey is filled with love, laughter, and countless memories.
Here’s to a century of wisdom, strength, and an abundance of joy. Cheers to you, Jeanne!
