Congratulations Rich & Sylvia McKenzie!
Meet our rare gem, the 2000 Plymouth Prowler Woodward Edition! This stunning two-tone beauty was designed to honor Detroit’s iconic Woodward Avenue Dream Cruise. With only 151 ever built, our car is #079–a true piece of automotive history.
We’re thrilled to share that this rare Prowler took 1st place in the Late Model Non-Muscle Division at the Ralph Sisk Memorial Car Show, held the Saturday before Thanksgiving each year at the Lincolnton Regional Airport. Owned by Rich & Sylvia McKenzie, it captured attention not just for its rarity but also for its remarkable upgrade. Originally equipped with the factory-standard V6 (as all Prowlers were), Rich and Sylvia McKenzie, with the help of Flatwood Customs Hot Rod Shop in Duncan, South Carolina, took on the ambitious project of swapping it for a powerful LS1n V8 engine from a Corvette–a true masterpiece of craftsmanship.
Fun fact: Only 11,578 Prowlers were ever produced for sale, with the first model debuting in 1997. Interestingly, there were no 1998 models, as Plymouth extended the 1997 production run for two years. After 2000, Plymouth was retired as a brand, and most 2001 and all 2002 Prowlers carried Chrysler badges instead. Congratulations again to Rich & Sylvia McKenzie for their incredible achievement and for keeping Prowler’s legacy alive!
