‘Soul to Sole Connections,’ by Katie Stankiewicz, Executive Director & Co-Founder of this unique organization that provides ground-based counseling and wellness, with horses, to veterans, first responders and their families at no cost, will be the program at the April 16th meeting of the PROBUS Club of Lake Norman.
Katie has always had a passion for horses and a deep desire to see people succeed. She understands the desire for authentic relationships in life, which horses naturally offer. Katie founded Willow Equine, in 2012, to serve those seeking personal growth, improved team dynamics, or optimized leadership capabilities. In 2017, she co-founded Soul to Soles Connection, a program focused exclusively on the mental health of America’s military, veterans, first responders and their families.
All are welcome to attend this free presentation at the PROBUS Club on April 16th, held at the Berea Baptist Church Fellowship Hall on Hwy 150, Mooresville, just west of Perth Road. Coffee and fellowship begin at 10 a.m. The hour-long program will begin at 10:30. You are invited to join members for lunch at a nearby restaurant following the meeting.
The Probus Club of Lake Norman is composed of retired people from the PROfessional and BUSiness sectors who join in a non-political, non-sectarian manner to meet like-minded individuals, keep minds active, make new friends and expand interests. This club meets monthly, and gatherings include a half-hour coffee social, followed by a brief business meeting and a presentation by a guest speaker who will address a topic of mutual interest. Guests are welcome.
