A boutique design studio in Mooresville, NC, Great Design 4 U is truly devoted to its mission statement to bring beauty, inspiration and positive energy into your home. As founder and principal designer, Anna Stowe has always found herself inspired by the power of intentional design.
“When proportion, materials and craftsmanship are thoughtfully considered, a home naturally supports ease, balance and elevated living. Guiding clients in refining their spaces into environments that feel both enduring and effortless is what motivates my work each day,” she shares.
Supported by a small in-house team handling operations and administration, Anna also works with a trusted network of professional partners – ranging from delivery to installation – allowing her to scale each project with precision, while maintaining a highly personalized client experience.
A graduate of High Point University with a bachelor’s degree in interior design, Anna founded Great Design 4 U in 2008 after gaining experience across the design industry that includes furniture and finish specification, rug construction and custom window treatments. That well-founded foundation and more than 30 years of experience – along with discerning taste and skill at personal connections – sets her apart in the local design community.
“We bring a strong foundation in design education and real world execution, a refined studio environment for thoughtful collaboration and an extensive network of trusted professionals and product partners,” shares Anna. “This allows us to offer a highly curated, seamless experience that’s both personal and exceptionally well executed.”
While living in Charlotte, Anna found her work more and more centered around the Lake Norman area, making her move here a natural progression. She’s lived in Huntersville and now Mooresville, and fully considers Lake Norman her home.
While new construction and remodeling projects make up a significant portion of Anna’s design work, her team also handles a variety of decorative projects, offering full service from concept to completion. Their curated network of extraordinary vendors includes custom furniture, timeless wood pieces, lighting, fabrics and accessories.
“We begin with a thoughtful ‘discovery’ process (a complimentary call or appointment), using detailed questionnaires and meaningful conversations to truly understand our clients. By investing the time upfront, we create clarity and trust, allowing the design process to feel seamless, personal and well managed from start to finish,” she explains.
Seeing the design industry as more than just current trends, Anna believes how a home reflects the people inside it – and how they function daily – is the ultimate focal point.
“My approach is to create spaces that feel current and relevant, while remaining deeply personal and practical,” she adds. “When design balances timeless elements with thoughtful, lifestyle-driven choices, it feels elevated and authentic.”
Great Design 4 U offers services that include tile, granite and stone selection, formulating lighting plans, plumbing fixture selections, budget planning and project management, theme rooms and creative children’s room décor, selection of accessories and artwork, flooring selection, window treatments and inspiration boards!

“We just completed a major home renovation, new kitchen, new master bathroom and new hardwood floors. Choosing styles and colors was not our forte and, because of the expense of the project, we called in Anna. She did a wonderful job with everything from A to Z – the lighting, the fixtures, the paint, as well as the tub and shower designs, tile, color – same thing with the kitchen counters and cabinets. She asked some questions up front, and she was able to capture the design and look we wanted to achieve. She was always there when we needed her – including the times it was important to be on site!
