Neptune Society Charlotte – The Caring Choice for Cremation Services

As the nation’s oldest and largest cremation source, Neptune Society has proudly served more than one million families at some of their toughest times. Providing nationwide coverage and the most comprehensive, yet flexible, cremation plan in the industry, their service guarantee is unmatched.

While Neptune Society has been serving North Carolina for decades, the local Charlotte office was established in 2015.

“In the past 20 years, cremation rates have more than doubled in the United States, leading to a better understanding of the process and options for cremation of loved ones,” explains Location Manager and Licensed Funeral Director Elijah Walker. “The concept of planning ahead is not a new one, but there has been a natural rise in pre-planning for cremation since it’s now the preferred method of disposition.”

Dedicated to reducing the stress on families that comes with carrying out the final wishes of loved ones, Neptune Society strives to offer affordable plans, carried out with dignity and compassion. Choosing cremation also shows you are committed to a clean, natural environment that preserves the planet’s resources.

The popularity and acceptance of cremation services is likely to continue increasing due to the difference in costs between a traditional burial and funeral, versus affordable cremation plans. The total cost of a burial is about six to eight times that of a Neptune Society cremation plan. Prepaid services allow you to lock in the current price and avoid increased cremation costs in the future. Prepaying also eliminates the financial turmoil the unexpected passing of a loved one can create.

At time of death, Neptune Society immediately sends professionally trained personnel to transport the deceased to a climate-controlled holding facility, and immediate family can view the deceased prior to cremation.

Prospective clients typically have many questions – and these are some of the most frequent:

  1. Can I make payments on my plan? Yes, by paying ahead of need, you are able to lock in current prices and make affordable monthly payments.
  2. What happens if I have a plan with you and then move? As a member of Neptune Society, you have the right to relocate anywhere in the United States or Canada, and your plan goes along with you. We will honor the plan that you have already made. To be certain your funds are secure, they are held in a trust account or placed in a specialized form of life insurance.
  3. What happens if I plan with you and pass away while traveling? With our Away from Home Protection, you are protected even while traveling or away from home.
  4. Can the ashes of my loved one be separated for family members? Yes, as long as there are separate cremation urns or containers to hold the ashes.

Neptune Society also offers special services for veterans, including collecting discharge papers at the time of planning so they are immediately available to the family and funeral director at the time of passing. Neptune obtains a flag for veterans and assists in interment at a national cemetery – with military honor guard included. As a special thank you to our veterans, they also include, at no cost to the family, a beautiful cherry wood and glass enclosed display case for the flag.

“Our military veterans are very dear to us, and we are honored to be endorsed by the VFW and American Legion,” adds Elijah.

If you’re looking to gather more information on the process and how Neptune Society Charlotte provides invaluable help to families when they need it most, Lunch-and-Learns take place in different cities each month.

“We are regularly in Cornelius, Mooresville, Huntersville, Statesville and Denver,” shares Elijah. “Options are always available on our website, or call our local office for upcoming events. You may even receive an invitation in the mail. We provide a free lunch from a local restaurant, but most importantly, we discuss the many benefits of pre-planning your cremation, the credentials of Neptune Society and how our program works to help the ones you love in a most difficult time.”

Neptune Society Charlotte is located at 7340 Smith Corners Boulevard, #200, Charlotte, NC, 704.755.5819. Visit neptunesociety.com for additional information.

“We highly recommend Neptune Society. Elijah Walker and his team were so kind, caring and communicative throughout the process. It was a recommendation from another family member based on their experience with Mr. Walker a few years back, and I want to pass our recommendation on – you and your family will be in very good hands.” ~ Kelly P.

“Elijah Walker and his crew were the most amazing people I dealt with in my mother’s passing. Elijah, you touched my heart in this cruel process of grief.” ~ Amanda M.
