Entrepreneur Morgan Hagan loves to share a favorite quote: “You only live one life, so romanticize it and do everything with intent.”
She’s accomplishing that goal every day with her growing company, SheCo Esthetics, in Mooresville, NC. Morgan believes SheCo isn’t just about esthetics, but it’s also a place women can go as a “home away from home” – where they find what allows their inner soul to shine brighter and even more beautifully! And, her intentions are to build the business into so much more.
Morgan officially started her career in 2020 but opened her own business six months ago thanks to incredible, unconditional support from her family and friends! She specializes in lash extensions, brows and recently added dermaplaning to her repertoire, and she’s looking to add treatment-based services such as chemical peels, LED therapy and microneedling.
“When I was in high school, I did my senior project on makeup, and I have had lash extensions since I was 16!” said Morgan. “I struggled with self image and knew I wanted to help those who felt the same way. I wanted to approach being an esthetician as a means to enhance one’s beauty – rather than change it!”
Morgan says she’s most inspired by feedback from her clients.
“I have had many women approach me after their services with a child-like excitement because I was able to change something so small about their daily routine. It’s like healing their inner child the same way I did with myself.”
“This is so much more than a beauty industry for me,” she added. “It’s waking up and feeling your best. It’s creating a safe space to be yourself and approach your life with one less thing to feel unconfident about. Just as working out might be that for you, or cleaning your house, or being praised at work. It’s motivating!”
It’s true that new clients often need a gentle nudge. “One big misconception is that lash extensions cause damage to your natural lashes,” said Morgan. “When you have a lash artist who has been licensed and certified, this should never be an issue. Always find a reputable source and, if you ever have concerns, always ask for a second opinion.”
