Amazing food and a fun, casual atmosphere is a given at The Untouchables in Denver, NC: that’s wings, burgers, and the truly incredible pizza that makes them famous. All that feasting is a wonderful way to bring friends and family together!
But there’s also deep-founded community spirit that circles around this local favorite spot, and owner Scott Gilleland takes that spirit and community camaraderie very seriously.
Scott began his career at The Untouchables as a busboy in 1987 – four years after the restaurant opened in 1983 – and as its owner, he is continuing the tradition of delicious cuisine and impeccable service the Lake Norman community has come to love.
Everything on the menu at The Untouchables is prepared in-house, following their own recipes – including their mouth-watering pizza crust which they make all day long! The freshest vegetables are cut daily, and their cheese is also ground and blended every single day. Besides those well-known wings, pizza, and delicious burgers, the lunch and dinner menu is also well-stocked with a popular salad bar, house-made salads and dressings, and fresh fruits and vegetables. That covers the taste buds of everyone in your dining party!
The much-loved restaurant also serves up good vibes around the community, and Scott and his staff are honored to support local organizations. That is an effort he’s been devoted to since the restaurant first opened.
“I’m very proud we are able to support our local schools and churches through donations and hosting spirit nights at the restaurant,” says Scott. Police officers, EMS, and firefighters also receive discounts, as a way of showing appreciation.
The support and encouragement of a local business plays a big role when it comes to school improvements and inspiring students.
“The Bandys’ community is so lucky to have The Untouchables team in our corner,” says Brandon Harbinson, Assistant Principal and Athletic Director of Bandys High School. “The restaurant always steps in to provide opportunities to raise funds through spirit nights, as well as donating food to many of our programs. Scott and Hope are so good to us!”
