True to their name, Uplift Skin and Body in Cornelius, NC, is built around supporting each other on many different levels. The physician-owned boutique MedSpa is dedicated to the highest level of care, and Medical Director Dr. Trupti Patel describes the process with inviting detail!
“Our vision was to be the place that, even if you’ve never stepped into a MedSpa or heard of our services, that we are warm and welcoming!” says Trupti. “We provide a unique, intimate experience — like you are walking into your home!”
Since their “soft” opening in September 2022 — and grand opening last November — Uplift Skin and Body has felt fortunate to be part of the Lake Norman community, and proud to strike a balance in the lives of both their clients and their providers.
“Our culture is focused on our patients and our providers, and the work-balance for our providers is extremely important,” she adds. “Uplift’s providers have flexible schedules, and because of that, they can accommodate their patients’ schedules as well. We want to contribute to our providers’ growth, and provide opportunities to expand their skills and allow them to provide services they are passionate about.”
Walking someone through prioritizing themselves for the first time in their life is a privilege, echoed by Uplift providers Sarah Stokas, PA-C, and Laura Perrino, PA-C. Both say helping patients gain confidence and re-igniting their passion to live life is the best feeling in the world!
“To see clients light up from their results, and see the physical transformations we helped with also create an inner transformation as well, is amazing,” says Sarah.
“The incredible part about this experience is that we get to witness that transformation happening,” says Laura.
Co-founder Trish Kowalchyk points out that as clients for MedSpa services themselves, the staff understands the importance of time, and what a significant investment these appointments can be for your health and skin.
“We’ve all struggled in the past getting readily available appointments for services,” she says. “We are happy to try to match your schedule if you want a time outside our usual shop hours — just email us with your request!”
Uplift Skin and Body was founded to offer exceptional MedSpa services including fillers, microdermabrasion facials, peels, weight loss counseling, Morpheus8 and Lumecca IPL services for both tightening and lightening. The Uplift team is also community-oriented, and passionate about making a positive impact in the lives of others. They recently held a pet adoption event with the LKN Humane Society to help match dogs and cats with their forever homes, and last fall donated proceeds to those fighting and surviving metastatic breast cancer.
As the business grows, Trupti and Trish say they are excited to continue to “Uplift” the Lake Norman community and make a difference together.
