Keeping on top of technology is tricky – it seems like a never-ending, revolving door of change, with more details than we can absorb! But since 2008, Mooresville residents have come to rely on the most expert computer advice around, courtesy of the local, friendly professionals at CET Computer Magic. That might mean a quick dash of service for your home computer, or a full-on dedicated IT department for an office staff.
Keeping up with ever-changing technology is a full-time task, and CET offers IT training from classroom experiences to one-on-one professional learning services.
Owner Tim Grier believes what sets the business apart from others is they offer managed services, as well as break/fix of both PCs and Macs.
In addition to Tim, the energetic staff includes Project Manager and Primary Service Technician, Julia Keyser, Office Manager and Lead Technician, Kim Annas, Bench and Field Service Technician, JT Graham, and Vantz Stockwell, Contracted IT Support Director for their Managed Services.
The company’s most common requests are for system repair, data recovery, and virus removal, but they field numerous questions on email issues from both residential clients – about 45% of their total business — and business clients, about 55%.When your business needs regulatory compliance or operational enhancements, CET can also help by providing a broad range of specialized computer consulting services.
Training is also on the menu, at all levels, from those getting back in the workforce to employees vying for a new promotion. If you are changing careers, need to upgrade your business IT department, or learn how the dynamic world of technology revolves, this is your best starting point! Tim has over 22 years experience teaching at the high school, military, and community college level, and has taught A+ certification, IC3 certification, and high school/community college electronics. He’s known for his super successful method of delivering information in a useful and understandable manner for all ages. Julia has been a personal IT instructor for residential clients and an Apple Technician for over two years, and has taught a wide variety of topics such as Office/Microsoft, Email operations, Apple product operations/functionality, Computer basics, Parental controls, and social media. Kim has been working with Google Workplace for over 10 years, and trains individuals in Chromebook and Android operations. She also trains in topics of networking and windows administration management. JT is a VMWare Operation Advisor (VCP-DCV) and is able to train in VMware Virtualization processes and HIPAA compliance. Vantz is a Quickbooks Pro Advisor, Microsoft 365 Advisor, and a Microsoft Office User Specialist Certified Trainer, and also has experience with all cloud platforms, and SAGE Accounting software.
“Quality instruction is the key to obtaining any type of certification,” explains Tim. “That certification is a way to show current or future employers how valuable you are to their organization. At CET, you will receive the best training the industry has to offer.”
The team at CET also believes your computer is an extension of yourself: It is unique, based on the manner in which you use it, the customized manner it is arranged in, and the expectations you require from that computer.
“We take great care to understand you, your machine, and the environment you work in,” adds Tim. “This knowledge enables us to eliminate the obstacles from your system.”
