Charlotte Vintage Furniture: A New Adventure Awaits!

Katrina and Stan Teague have truly loved growing what they call their “passion project” —  introducing new customers to Mid-Century Modern (MCM) décor at their Huntersville store, Charlotte Vintage Furniture.

Previously selling wonderful MCM finds from a warehouse location, and via online sales before that, Katrina and Stan opened their delightful showroom in an historic schoolhouse building in March of 2022. Discerning in the items they offer throughout their store, the two schedule week-long buying trips at least once every quarter, along with visits to auctions and estate sales just brimming with treasures. Their inventory changes weekly, and a visit to Charlotte Vintage Furniture is always a happy adventure!

The thrill of visiting their amazing collection will be taking on a new look — and a new home — with a soft opening at their new location planned for late August. You’ll soon find Charlotte Vintage Furniture at 2315 N. Davidson, Suite 100, in Charlotte, NC — as part of the Urban District Market (UDM) project at Lintmen’s, a 20,000-square-feet former textile mill.

“Huntersville has been wonderful to us and our growing business,” says Katrina. “We’ve made lasting friendships, and built a growing clientele and following. We look forward to continuing to serve our clients in the new location  — and with the UDM food hall and fun options to dine inside, on the patio, or to-go, it’s a great destination for date night, or a family outing.”

As the largest showroom of Mid-Century Modern home furnishings in the area, the arrival of Charlotte Vintage Furniture will further enhance the Mill District area as a Charlotte “hot spot!” The new location is an 11-minute walk to the 25th Street station LYNX Blue Line, which takes visitors straight into NoDa, and the Cross Charlotte Trail (the XCLT), which stretches from the southern tip of Mecklenburg County to near the Cabarrus County line, will run right through Lintmen’s.

The Teagues have actually lived within a mile of their new location for 12 years, and have witnessed the tremendous growth in NoDa and Villa Heights.

“We’ve been watching the neighborhood landscape change every single day, with new homes, restaurants, and growing foot traffic,” explains Katrina. “Our regular commute always took us by the Lintmen’s building, and we often remarked how perfect the former Mill would be as a storefront for our vintage furniture business.”

Their fabulous inventory of Mid-Century Modern furniture and décor should have a strong appeal to the same demographic now moving into the area, and the Teagues are excited to make new friends and continue sharing their love and knowledge of Mid-Century Modern style. And, as always, they look forward to guiding customers to finding that one finishing touch for a special spot in their home!

But the Teagues are definitely not saying goodbye to their many clients and friends around the Huntersville area. As Katrina shared, “Stan and I look forward to welcoming our Lake Norman clients in our new and expanded Charlotte location. It’s just 20-30 minutes away, and we hope you’ll visit often!”

Make note now of their new location — 2315 N. Davidson, Suite 100, Charlotte, NC, 28205 — and expanded hours Tuesday through Saturday 11:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m., and Sunday 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m. For updates on their move visit charlottevintage.com, follow them on Instagram @charlottevintagefurniture, or call 704-727-0362.
