Her expertise in the revolutionary Quantel Paintbox computer graphics system propelled her to become the art director at WABC-TV in New York City at just 27 years old. Melinda’s career flourished in Los Angeles, where she earned two national Emmy nominations and served on the Board of Governors of the Television Academy.
Despite her success in TV and film, Melinda found a new passion in jewelry design. More than a decade ago, she left the bustling entertainment industry for Hendersonville, NC, where she opened Sweet Magnolia Gallery. Her jewelry, inspired by Victorian, Georgian and Edwardian designs, is crafted from precious and semi-precious stones and metals. Celebrities like Stevie Nicks and Carrie Underwood have worn her pieces, and her work has been featured in local and national magazines.
