Chasing Away the Blues Gala

On April 25, 2025 soft jazz notes will fill the air around Café Monte in Southpark for the second annual Chasing Away the Blues Gala to support NAMI Charlotte! Come join us as we enjoy music, community and a delicious meal. There will be fun silent auction items and amazing live auction items to support all of our Charlotte area programs.

NAMI Charlotte is an organization of families, friends and individuals whose lives have been affected by mental illness. Together, we advocate for better lives for those individuals who have a mental illness.

NAMI Charlotte is expanding our impact through enhanced support services and support groups, the rolling out of the Stigma-free workplace program, expansion of our youth programming and growth of NAMI on campus groups. In addition this year we are launching NAMI Navigator Charlotte website, a comprehensive resource featuring a database of all mental health providers in Mecklenburg County. This platform will serve as a critical tool in connecting individuals with the care they need.

Meghan Corbett

Meghan Corbett grew up in Winston-Salem and has been with Forsyth Woman and Forsyth Family since 2009. She has a degree in mass media communication with a minor in journalism from NC State University. She married her high school sweetheart, Will, in 2008. They have two children, Avery and Hugh as well as two rescue beagles, Moze and Charlie. Meghan writes, edits and manages the calendar of events for the Forsyth Magazines family of publications. She moved to Wilmington in 2015 and loves coastal life, having grown up taking trips to lakes surrounding the Winston-Salem area including Lake Norman. Being on a boat is so relaxing, and one of her favorite things to do after picking up the kids from school is going on a cruise down the Intracoastal Waterway to see all the wildlife and excitement that can only be seen from the water.
