Health and Wellness: Mind Powered Wellness

For years I have told my clients, “your body will not do what your mind doesn’t say yes to first.”

With the current world that we live in where we need to be more focused on mental toughness and emotional resilience, this statement speaks volumes.

You will never be able to run a mile, if you tell yourself you cannot run.

You will never be able to deliver an impactful presentation at work, if you tell yourself you cannot speak in front of a room.

You will never be able to lose 10 pounds, if you tell yourself you cannot lose 10 pounds.

Mindset is the key to progress in all areas of life; health, family, career, faith, wealth, etc. When it comes to breaking old habits and making healthy choices, consistently over time that lead to vibrant whole life success, you MUST start with the voice in your head!

Have you ever read the famous quote by Theodore Roosevelt?

“Believe you can and you are halfway there.”

A very smart man, but I would argue that altering your mindset to one of BELIEF, means that you are much more than 1/2 way there. This quote fixates on the successful realization that is not only about overcoming external forces, working hard and making sacrifices. It is about overcoming the power of your own mind. If you do not believe in yourself, no one else will do it for you. Mental toughness is the first step to success!

Your focus is where your attention goes. Positive or negative, your focus shifts your attention. The way you frame your thoughts is what you manifest in your life. Your thoughts become your actions!

If you tell yourself, don’t think about the holidays. What do you think about? The holidays.

If you tell yourself, don’t think about being tired. What do you think about? How tired you are.

If you tell yourself, don’t think about work. What do you think about? All of the things going on at work.

Focus on what you want.

I want to feel strong and vibrant.

I want to have clear and precise mental clarity.

I want to be organized and productive.

I want to feel at peace.

I want to sleep well.

I want to make healthy food choices that fuel my body.

I want to be successful in my career.

I want to run the marathon.
