Chatting about beautiful homes and impeccable style comes easily to Realtor Susan Dolan, who takes her role in client’s lives very seriously! Those happy clients view her as their trusted advisor – and, with a passion for design that’s spot-on, she finds joy in matching homes with their perfect families.

Susan is now thrilled to be one of the new TV hosts for The American Dream Selling Charlotte – an Emmy-nominated show that focuses on lifestyle, community and culture. Those are three subjects Susan knows quite well, and she’s happy sharing them with a new audience!

Besides her expertise in style and design, Susan’s flawless work ethic shines in her role with Ivester Jackson-Christies International Real Estate and as a member of Christie’s Master Circle. Her 20 years of experience and in-depth knowledge of inventory and current market conditions, combined with aggressive marketing techniques, allows the process of buying and selling to happen efficiently, seamlessly and successfully.

Now, with this new outlet for sharing her passion and personal style, Susan sees 2024 in an exceptionally bright light! The American Dream network highlights lifestyle and real estate in major cities – with a show that’s carried on major cable networks and digitally, while capturing millions of views every month on social media. Joining this national network of elite professionals in the real estate and mortgage industries allows Susan even more opportunities to share her expertise and help families arrive at their happiest home.

“I’m hosting a total of six segments, and the first aired on December 16, 2023,” Susan explains. “It focused on the Town of Davidson, River Run Country Club and a gorgeous home also located in The Reserve at River Run. The show aired on WCCB CW, the CBS Charlotte affiliate and it can also be found on my YouTube channel and streaming services.”

Real estate professionals on The American Dream serve as an authentic voice for their respective markets, and Susan enjoys that she has 100% creative control.

“I can choose any topic, area or business to showcase, and I love to focus on local businesses, the owners and their unique stories,” she adds. “It brings a sense of a hometown feel to the area.”

She’s also able to focus on a special real estate listing in the area where she’s highlighting a small business.

“It’s a great way to introduce a home that’s for sale to the world, in addition to my other marketing, and everyone knows someone who is looking to either relocate to the area, buy a new home or sell their current home. The American Dream allows me to showcase what I feel is truly special!”

Built On Inspiration

Susan’s own experience with relocation piqued her interest in building a career of helping others through similar times. Whether they are buying or selling a home, moving to a brand new state or simply a different neighborhood, her level of efficiency is the same.

“I want to make the buying or selling process as seamless as possible, have fun and be able to act quickly and efficiently for my clients,” says Susan. “My goal is concierge service, which includes helping clients with paint colors for their new home.”

As an art major with a concentration in photography at Eastern Michigan University, Susan fell in love with historic homes and architecture early on. She also excels in color theory – with an understanding of the entire color wheel and how various shades blend, and applying that in-depth expertise to every project.

Susan and her family have called North Carolina home for 14 years, after living all over the U.S., from Maryland to California. The beauty of Lake Norman was definitely an attraction. Having grown up in Michigan on Lake Erie means Susan knows lake life well.

“I grew up a lover of the water and all the fun that comes with boating and watersports. When we relocated to the Metro Charlotte area, Lake Norman was a natural choice when deciding where to raise our family. We chose Denver because it was slightly off the beaten path. I feel Lake Norman offers everyone an amazing opportunity – whether you are moving here for a new career, to start a family or for your retirement years – the area has something for everyone.”

Yes, Susan is a fan of pickleball, paddle-boarding and wake skiing during lake season – while otherwise, you can catch up with her juggling the career she loves, focusing on Charlotte, Cornelius, Davidson, Denver, Huntersville, Mooresville, Sherrills Ford, The Peninsula, The Point and Troutman areas – and also enjoying her newest role as TV host!
