If you love lake life but don’t happen to be a local, The Landing Hotel should be your family’s new favorite destination!
Owner Dustin Keith has created a laid-back, Key West-style spot that’s all about the simple pleasures of enjoying life. From gazing at scenic sunsets over the water to enjoying amazing food at the waterfront restaurant, live music and plenty of fun and games for the kids, come to The Landing for a relaxed weekend that can fit easily into your family budget.
“It’s been my goal to offer a destination that makes a difference in families’ lives,” explains Dustin. “With an Airbnb, you’ll find lots of extra fees, but not here with us. We’re economical, you can book online and, if you’re traveling from out-of-state, you can park your boat in our open boat slips, stay at our cozy hotel and soak up some quality family time.”
Open year round, The Landing Hotel features both waterfront and roadside rooms as well as endless activities to keep the entire family entertained. There’s an enormous sand pit to play in, a tropical shaved ice stand right on the water, a pirate-themed arcade featuring video games and vending machines, a tiki bar, of course, and the perfect spot to enjoy feeding the fish!
Besides the 11 recently renovated standard rooms, all with queen-sized beds and new furniture, a brand new family suite that sleeps six people is now available – offering a parents’ room with a queen-sized bed, one full-sized bunk bed with a trundle bed, plus a daybed. Other guest room amenities include tables and chairs, refrigerator and microwave, ceiling fans, walk-in showers, air conditioning, hair dryer, Keurig coffee maker, TV and roll-away beds available for $10. You’ll also have access to rental boats, paddle boards, kayaks, aqua-trikes and the six-person Hemlock Swedish Sauna!
Lakefront rooms at The Landing Hotel feature a shared waterfront porch with table and chairs, while standard queen rooms feature a shared porch with chairs – perfect for taking in relaxed lake life as it was meant to be! Guests staying at the hotel will also receive 10% off at Island Vibes Charters.
“We’re thrilled to have had guests from all over the world, including Canada, England, Ireland and Australia,” shares Dustin. “Our destination is also an easy weekend getaway for couples from Charlotte or Raleigh.”
As of April, The Landing’s restaurant will be operated by the owners of the much-loved Anntony’s Caribbean Café in Charlotte – known as Anntony’s @ The Landing – and will feature delicious rotisserie chicken and pork, along with classic Caribbean sides. (And yes, room service will be available to The Landing Hotel rooms and family suite!)
