The Publisher’s Perspective

Hello Fall!

As we embrace the crisp air of autumn, LKN Magazine is thrilled to begin our second year of publishing with the much-anticipated bi-annual “Home” Issue. This edition is a celebration of all things that make a house a home. It is filled with inspiration and ideas to elevate your living spaces, find the home you’ve been looking for or perhaps find the service for which you’ve been looking (starting on page 14).

In this season of growth and gratitude, I’ve found so much inspiration from my incredible family. My daughter, Brooke, has taught me so much in this past year! Slowing down, setting boundaries and, most of all, to practice my patience. Our daily virtual walks and thoughtful conversations have become a cherished routine, reminding me of life’s blessings.

My son, Tanner, shares his culinary passion in his 919 Backyard BBQ column (page 64), we are so fortunate to be frequent recipients of his amazing creations, both on and off the grill. Meanwhile, my husband, Tim (aka TJ or Teej), serves as a constant reminder to prioritize health, exercise and time away from the computer. What he does on a daily basis in and outside of our home makes life so much easier for me.

The influence of my parents, two remarkable LKN ambassadors at 83 and 89, is a guiding light in this journey. They remind me daily to honor God, live life to the fullest and always smile! Their mantra is to make your day FANTASTIC, and that is what they do every single day!

So excited to introduce my friends at Consign on a Dime. This is one of my favorite cover images, and it shows you how involved Heather (the owner) is involved in the day-to-day business of both of her consignment shops, Consign on a Dime and Showplace 28. Her team is a joy with which to work. If you haven’t visited, put this on the top of your list. They make the consignment process so easy. Truly, their inventory changes so frequently that it’s like going to a new store every visit. Check out their story starting on (page 30).

In this issue, we are excited to introduce our “Savor Local” column, encouraging our community to dine and drink locally, explore and savor the offerings, and let them know LKN Magazine sent you! It does make a difference to a small business owner, if we all take this to heart we can make a difference in the community we love.

If you haven’t already, sign up for our monthly newsletter at LKN-magazine.com and connect with us on Instagram and Facebook (@lknmagazine). Let’s stay connected and celebrate this beautiful month of October!

Wishing you the very best, Keela
