Immersed in the design industry for nearly 40 years now, after starting her own business at age 25, Lori loves how the process of designing and creating spaces is always evolving. With the Design Center at Home Heart & Soul, she’s thrilled to be able to help clients design or renovate an area of their home, to reflect their personality and lifestyle — often even changing the way they use certain spaces on a daily basis.
The Design Center is also currently brimming with a variety of beautiful outdoor fabrics, rugs, and pillow options, including Revolution™ fabrics which is solution-dyed, stain-resistant, and can be cleaned with bleach. These popular fabrics are made in the U.S.A., and offer a five-year warranty.
Lori can also guide you with choices for solar shades — ideal for those Lake Norman patios!
“Solar shades are specifically designed to provide light control and UV protection especially on those Carolina blue-sky days!” she explains. “These come in various ranges of openness factors, which determine the amount of light let in. Our most common shade colors are classic whites, neutrals, and natural colors, and they are a wonderful addition to your outdoor space. They also work well for interior windows, and the beauty is they are clean, and roll up tightly and efficiently.”

“We feel our merchandising gives clients insight into what I can accomplish in their home,” she explains. “It offers a glimpse of my design business, which includes consultation, custom window treatments, kitchen and bath remodeling, and anything in between!”
