Great Design 4 U; Enjoying the Process of Great Design

If you’re looking for inspiration to bring a positive energy flow and pure enjoyment into your home, get to know the creative force behind Great Design 4 U in Mooresville, NC.

Founder and principal designer, Anna Stowe, has built her boutique design studio into the go-to resource for clients who appreciate a thoughtful, well-managed design project where step one is always building trust.

Anna’s process is deeply personal —from a skilled, in-house operations team to the finest professional partners in the area. Consultation, execution, delivery and installation are seamless, bringing rave reviews from grateful clients.

“When we first met Anna Stowe, we weren’t entirely sure how to articulate what we wanted — we just knew we wanted our home to feel like us. What impressed us from the start was how effortlessly she translated those instincts into a design vision that exceeded anything we had imagined. Anna has a rare gift for listening, and it showed in every detail of the finished space. What set Anna apart wasn’t just her creativity — it was her follow-through. She was present and engaged long after most would have considered the project complete, and she became an invaluable resource as we navigated the general contractor and various subcontractors along the way. Having someone in our corner who understood both the design intent and the practical realities of construction made an enormous difference. We are proud to call this home ours, and equally proud to have worked with Anna to make it what it is today.”

These happy clients hired Great Design 4 U for a full-service, new construction project in their custom home. While this project took place during the COVID-era (with an overall timeline of approximately one year) and material shortages and supply chain delays were their reality, Anna’s ongoing communication promoted flexibility and a much-needed sense of calm!

“We created and presented cohesive interior specification packages for the entire home,” shares Anna. “That included assisting them with all major interior finish selections including flooring, paint colors, both lighting and plumbing fixtures, tile selections, cabinet finishes and grout colors, as well as tile layouts and installation direction.”

The team maintained a cohesiveness in all finishes throughout the home, balancing aesthetics, functionality, and a keen eye on long-term livability.

“To ensure the outside of the home complemented its interior design, we also guided their external material and color selections, achieving a beautifully blended aesthetic,” Anna explains.

Throughout the entire construction process, the Great Design 4 U team responded to day-to-day design and installation questions from both the builder and the clients, including light fixture placement, pendant hanging heights, spacing recommendations, design proportions and scale, and all material coordination.

“We also tried to ease our clients’ stress during an unpredictable building period,” Anna adds.

As things progressed on the construction side — discussions turned to furnishings and styling. That meant analyzing the client’s existing furniture and décor to determine which pieces could still work in the new home, and where updates might be needed.

“While blending the old with the new, we guided them through new furniture and window treatment selections, styling details, and some finishing touches throughout their home,” Anna shares.

She’s proud of the high level of trust she develops with clients over the course of a project, developing a strong working relationship, and finding that clients become comfortable enough to give her team creative freedom. That’s where collaboration is key.

Since this particular project aligned with her clients returning to in-office work following Covid, Anna recalls those exciting times when her clients returned home to catch a glimpse of newly completed spaces.

“The reveal moments became especially meaningful because the transformation happened gradually while they were away during the day,” she adds.

Relationship-driven interior design never goes out of style, and thoughtful consideration of the homeowner’s vision has meant this home still feels as wonderful to its owners now, as it did the day they moved in. And for Anna — staying connected to clients years after a project is completed is the perfect finishing touch!
