When one of our interior design projects transitions from visualization to the mood board stage – highlighting creative options and specific items we suggest for your space – there’s always an unmistakable excitement in the air!
Bringing that initial visualization to life means everything to us, especially when it’s sure to make a certain four-year-old girl’s eyes light up. And, we always love introducing the idea of good style to even our youngest friends!
This time around, our client’s vision was all about something fun – pure and simple! You’ll probably guess her daughter’s favorite color is pink – so naturally, we embraced that, but in subtle ways, adding whimsical touches and unexpected style elements that will grow right along with her. That all-important upgrade from the crib stage to a full-fledged big girl bed is a milestone, one we finished off with both functionality and flair, while reflecting this sweet young lady’s true personality.
The sweetest dreams are practically guaranteed in this stylish camel-colored velvet bed frame with bedding that shows off some playful patterns of its own. Waking up to a room that’s accented with playful pink wallpaper and custom beaded wainscoting is equally dreamy, but don’t overlook that sparkling, simply magical beaded chandelier! Is that a giraffe blowing a bubble? Yes it is – and that artwork became a must-have accessory piece.
The stylish waterfall design dresser offers her plenty of space to hold books or a keepsake photo, paired with a beautiful round mirror that’s perfect for silly faces and endless smiles. We also perked up her shower by wrapping it in rose-colored Zellige tiles and adding a charming gingham plaid shower curtain.
A big part of this little girl’s personality is her love of reading, so we’ve created a cozy nook she’ll barely want to leave – with a flowing canopy, pink throw and fun-sized pillows for a little escape with some of her favorite stories. It was the perfect finishing touch!
