Embracing the holiday spirit, December brings a sense of wonder and joy. In a recent promotional video, we discussed some of our favorite things and, surprisingly, I found myself admitting that “Christmas is my least favorite holiday!” Before you write me off as a scrooge, allow me to explain. It’s the decorating aspect that is not my favorite. Giving gifts is my love language, and I prefer to do that all year long rather than just at Christmas. I’ve just never been one to go all out with decorating my home for Christmas.

But, this year, there’s a change in the air! The LKN Magazine team is thrilled to announce our sponsorship of a tree at The Red Barn Marketplace. The excitement is palpable as our team comes together to support the Aiden’s Light Memorial Fund. Stop by The Red Barn Marketplace from December 2nd-9th, where local businesses sponsor trees adorned with gifts. Each tree is part of a raffle, with tickets as low as $1 each! On Dec 9th at 4:00 p.m., they will draw one ticket per tree, and the winner takes home everything beneath the tree! Every penny goes towards the meaningful cause of Aiden’s Light. Hello! My name is Keela Johnson and I’m the founder of Forsyth Magazines, a family of three publications based in Forsyth County that started in 2005. After living in Clemmons for 30 years, I “retired” to Lake Norman and found a vibrant, active community of friendly people, as well as new hobbies like paddle boarding and gardening.
