For Lynne Barbee and Whitney Smith those three boxes were easily checked, but this mother and daughter team was drawn to opening their own boutique for two other reasons: Their love of shopping and all things beautiful, and then when a boutique they loved in their hometown closed its doors, they felt the loss — and knew they wanted to create something just as special for others.
What first launched with online sales and pop-up shops back in 2021 is now Whitlyn’s Boutique — a lively, welcoming spot in Denver, NC. A lovely combination of their two names — Whitlyn’s is a woman-owned, family-operated small business that simply overflows with goodness.
Their recipe for customer care is a simple concept!
“At Whitlyn’s, it’s never just about shopping — it’s about how you feel while you’re here. Whether you want help styling the perfect outfit or prefer to browse at your own pace, every customer is treated like a friend walking through the door,” shares Lynne. “Making those personal connections and getting to know people is a very special part of our shopping experience at Whitlyn’s. We offer customer assistance when it’s needed, but also plenty of freedom to shop and enjoy our curated collection at your own pace.”

“We try to offer quality in all the lines we carry,” adds Lynne. “As we always say, ‘cheap stuff ain’t good and good stuff ain’t cheap’! Keeping quality, affordability, and style in mind is very important to both of us.”
